Animals pull carts, and are often decorated with ribbons and bells. (This animal was especially decorated for Independence Day.) These "work horses" are appreciated and well cared for. They are an important part of many peoples every day life. Push carts, carts pulled by animals, bikes, motorcycles, cars, and trucks share major streets and back roads a like (and they never seem to run into each other). This man and his cart are on the narrow back road just outside our apartment complex..

Hi
I write to you as the assistant editor of the Sunday mid day, a newspaper in Mumbai, India. We're looking to do a story on how blogs by foreign women married to Indian men who have now loved to India are getting popular. I looked up your website and thought it was pretty interesting, and wanted to feature you. Can you give me a contact so I ask you a few questions? Please let me know on sowmya82@gmail.com. Thanks.

Yes...that is the magic of India. You will get to see a Merc and a bullock cart standing next to each other unmindful of each other. Although bullock carts a becoming a rarity in big cities, they are essential in villages where transportation is taken care of by the humble four legged creatures.
